Best Prop For IMCO SCX

Hope everyone is having a good boating season! It's been awhile since I've been on any forum so if there is a tread on this I apologize.
I have an eliminator 25 Daytona newer bottom with 1000 hp 565 BBC blower motor with a full IMCO SCX,blueprinted -2 1400 lower, it is one of the first 1400 lowers blueprinted from IMCO . Currently I'm runnig a labbed mercury Maximus 33 pitch, I did try a few different props originally and this seemed to work the best . When I built this power and drive package I did it all at once so I have nothing to compare it to.Now that this lower has been out awhile I'm wondering if anyone has had great success with this lower on a boat similar to mine ? I am happy with the boat but the slip numbers are pretty high, in the low 20s.I'm gonna double check my x dimension on the boat. Currently I have no stand off box, and have been told they don't work good on 25 Daytonas.

The Maximus propeller is the best option today when running Bravo style props. However, Lab recipes can be adjusted to improve boat attitude and performance.
I'd love to hear actual performance numbers before and after blueprinting a SCX without changing anything else in or on the boat.
We blueprint gear cases as well.

Last time I ran it the boat did 113-114 at 6100 it is a 1:35 gear set. And I do believe the lower was blueprinted from imco I'll have to double check that.

The 33 is made from a 34. So, your slip is over 20%.
SCX cases can have high slip numbers. Depth on this case becomes tricky.

If I remember right someone once told me 34 pitch props don't work well ? Or is that just bravo 4 blades 34 pitch ? The boat does work good id just like to get that slip number down. I can always go down in prop height but up I'd have to get a stand off box which I'm wondering would if it would help my boat or hurt it? I know it would change everything ,CG ,X ect , I was hoping by now someone with a similar boat has had success with achieving lower slip number on a full imco scx on a single engine cat 24-27 foot

Ok I was wrong its 15 1/4" x 32 pitch

What is your prop shaft height in relation to the lowest point on the back of the boat? Not the pod in front of the prop.
It sounds to me like you are dragging the drive through the water.
I have a 26 Daytona with a standard Imco -3 lower, 1:36 ratio, with the propshaft at 2 inches up from the lowest point. I am running a stock 28 Bravo 4 blade at 6100 at 112 MPH. I do have a neutral IMCO box.
My slip numbers are below 8%

Yea from the lowest point of the boat, (the sponsons) my prop shaft is even with the bottom of them. That being said there's no easy way to go up except a stand off box

Your too deep. You need to go up another two inches and put a box on it.
Your draging the bullet through the water. That drive needs to have the water hitting the bottom of the bullet only. That and run a big prop.
You are also probably having a LOT of transom lift. I bet you have to trim up a few numbers from neutral trim setting.
At top speed my trim setting is only about one number above neutral trim.

I've combated the same issues on a 25 Daytona with a SCX 4. The Lower scx cases are very large and need to be run very high with large props. Just short of adding a positive extension box your kinda stuck. I gutted mine and went to 3" raised box and #6 props. Very costly to only pickup a few mph.
