I'm currently running a stock Bravo 1 4 blade 28p prop. Boat is a velocity 280 with a 1.5 ratio bravo 1 outdrive. I'm currently getting 5200 rpm WOT and 73 mph with 2 ppl and 3/4 tank fuel. The engine is a fresh 496 stroker, 590hp. I'm considering stepping down to a 26p to utilize my rpm as I keep making power to 5600 rpm. Would a 26p bravo 4 blade be recommended? Or is there Better prop for this boat to get more top speed out of it? I'd like to find a good base prop and possibly have it labbed from there.

thats definitly my plan for the offseason. It's currently my only prop so I'd like to get a spare anyways, and figure a 26p might be a good choice? The 28p has the diffuser ring cut off, but gets on a plane effortlessly, and will even plane with 6-7 ppl on board and 3/4+ tank for fuel , definitly working, but it gets up

My initial thought is to Lab the 28 with a efficient recipe.
However, a dyno sheet would clarify the decision.
Let us know if we can help.
