It's very light, very short, very small deadrise, and the gear ratio is definatley more than the V8's.
See here: https://campionboats.com/boats/535i/

If the 23" works the best, use it !

Always let the boat tell you what it wants - and it seems you are listening to it.

v6 gear ratio standard was 1.81 for the alpha outdrive - carb 190 hp in the 2000's year models for info.

Mpi V6 -- 220 hp gear ratio standard was 1.62

Mpi cat V6-- 220 hp the same 1.62

In first post you were considering a 23 prop. That is where miscommunication came from. One thing I don't like is the term hole shot. Ski boats are shafts for several reasons. One is outdrive life. Alpha combined with 4 blade prop combined with accelerating hard can equal snapped vert shaft.

Thanks to everyone for the great feedback. In my first post, I was considering the 23 pitch 4 blade to replace my 21 pitch 3 blade which was going past the 5200 RPM mark. By the end of this discussion, combined with actual 23 pitch prop performance with my boat, I decided to purchase it. I do not ski very much any more so a snapped vertical shaft hopefully is not in my future. I suspect the small and light Campion 536i makes the 23 the right choice for me. CHEERS!

By knowing the drive ratio, actual rpm and GPS speed we can verify performance information. Most V-6 motors won't spin a 23" prop UNLESS the out drive ratio is lower, hence my question. A small boat with a 1.62 or 1.8:1 ratio makes sense that a 23" prop works. Plus everyone has a different calibration for holeshot.

For V 6 Mercruiser, I have currently in for service --- all 190 hp The boats are 2004 18.5 ft Sea ray - a 2009 Glastron 18.5 ft and a 2008 Larson 19 ft and a 2010 Glastron 17.5 ft all in at the moment. All V6 Mercruiser --- all alpha one gen 2 -- all with 1.81 gear ratio and all with 23 pitch 3 blade props. All are stock apps. I check them out a couple of hours ago. So I hear you.

Thanks so much BUP. I am very pleased with the 23 pitch 4 blade performance on my 2013 - 18 foot 535i Campion bowrider. It hits all the right specs so I'm glad to hear the 23 pitch is a good option for a 4.3 V6 Mercruiser. Thanks again to everyone for the feedback. Only 4 more weeks of decent boating season left here in NB Canada.

I was never able to get these specs with the 21 pitch 3 blade. My only question is you mention lugging. Motor feels very powerful pulling me out, planes very fast also, even when pulling me out of the water on one ski. The max RPM is now at 4800... With the 21 pitch I could easily get 5200...which was above WOT RPM. I do not sense any lugging at any time with the 23. Hope I am writing the specs correctly as i do not want to be lugging the motor or having the wrong prop. Thanks again for the follow up. Quite possibly, the Campion 535i bowrider is a light boat.
I would doubt your tach reading being accurate having rpm was 5200 and over per your words. It does not matter if this a carb or an MPI V6 app. Carb apps use Tbolt V ignition in which has a built in Rev limiter 150 rpms over MAX rpm And the same goes for MPI. but that Rev limiter can be 150 to 200 rpms over max WOT. If your tach is accurate or close something possible wrong with your Over rev limit.

V 6 - max rpm is 4800
