nailit,
I'm not looking at your file as I am at home working but,
Same predicament?? I don't think so.
Let me get this straight. You had your props Labbed by us last winter. You ran them all summer long. You dinged and dented them. You determined you had engine issues after we did the work. But you initially sent them to us with the performance data before you determined the engines had issues. You did not read the information on your invoice discussing the 60 day potential free adjustments and now you want BBLADES to step up and repair and adjust your personally induced damage and desired performance adjustments for free?
Anybody else seem to find this over the top?

Apparently I struck a nerve (based on the tone of your post) but what I meant that I simply didnt know which direction I was going to go as well. I also stated that regardless of the 60 day policy, it would not have applied to me since I had mine done in winter and it was more than 60 days anyway. I could have used some adjustment to get the bow up more. (To be clear, I believe they were done in winter of 15”)
They run fine now... but they “could” be freshened up, but really i would like to adjust the rpms slightly. So direction I am unsure of is to fix, to fix and adjust or just let them ride.

I actually took pics that I was going to email you to get a more accurate qoute as my props are not that bad, but pics are worth 1000 words as they say. Hell, I even pulled the Bblade boxes out of the attic to ship.
Who said anything about free?? No one assumed that, my only assumption was that it would not take the hours involved to adjust as they had already been labbed prior as I figured I only needed a lil more cup. Even tried to call you to speak to you about what I really wanted after I had spoken to you on the phone several times concerning my props.
I apologize if I was not clearer in my “same predicament” comment!

The 33 Outlaw was in reference to the other post from nailit. I was speaking of 2 different boats in this thread. In your case I did mean the Velocity not the Outlaw. Both boats will have similar responses to 5 blade props.

I too apologize if I sounded irritated.
One thing I have learned after posting thousands of times on this forum as well as emailing for 25 years on a daily basis at Mercing Racing and BBLADES is that "tone" of a email can be misinterpreted. It's like judging a book by its cover. Another miscue would be to assume things.
With regret, I have been guilty of reading in to things and assuming. I regard BBLADES involvement on this forum as a way to inform and educate the performance boating world on set up and propeller geometry and characteristics. I believe we have done that here for 14 years with as little bias as possible. This is a responsibly we take very seriously. Yes, this is a advertising platform for BBLADES but, all of our posts are meant to inform first.
This time of the year old and new clients are thinking about next season already and want to get equipment in shape. Smart move. Some times people will feel that after a season of running their propellers, there is now something wrong with them. Things like my boat should be going faster, etc. I wonder why we might not have discussed this earlier in the season with those clients?
To be clear, BBLADES does not have a 60 day free rework policy. However, we do have a statement on our invoices that says...... "Propeller adjustments covered by BBLADES must take place within 60 days of invoice"
Not all adjustments will be covered by BBLADES. Prime example is discovering a boat drive setup issue or a engine issue. Seems obvious but some folks don't see it that way. People sometime don't understand we base our recipes directly upon the information we are supplied. Tainted info can reap poor results and we can't compensate for that.
As I said before, we do bend the adjustment rule when appropriate. Winter adjustments might apply there. Obviously we are a open book as this media promotes this and we relish the opportunity to discuss. We keep very strict records so all situations have a paper trail.
Richie, I went back through your file today. We first saw your stock B1 propellers in Jan. of 2014. They had minor LE dings and the rpm was off with RH running 150 rpm higher. We repaired them and Labbed them.
My suggestion is to repair the dings you have. Those are stress risers and can cause cracks to form. Repairs like that can take 2-2.5 hours a prop. When you really think about it, it doesn't sound out of line to weld, clean up weld, match thicknesses and progression, balance and buff 2 props. Pitch and rake adjustments are 5 hrs for a set. If you do them at the same time, the balancing and buffing only has to be done once so you will save 2 hours. Adding cup or pitch is a intricate thing. We adjust by .005" increments. You own a 2K dollar new replacement set of propellers. If you did decide to do all of this, it will cost well under the replacement of 1 propeller.
We might also want to consider trying some of our new 4-SPEEDS this Spring.
Please call if you want to discuss this in more depth.
Also, we are having a winter special again this year so you will save $20/hr. in labor if you wait till Jan. or Feb.
Brett

Sounds good, I will call you to work though the details. Will also probably hold off till jan-feb as I just finished installing all new cockpit interior from XT that drained my funds!

Miami Boat Show and FPC Poker Run, FMO events, etc. etc.; and there is trash all over Florida and the Keys tearing up props. Get your prop to BBlades now, use the credit card, and pay for it later. Let Brett use your job as a filler if that suits him.
