Turn in or out, V-hull 33avs cleavers

Yep. I guess I didn't look very closely.
I'd keep them that way unless you struggle in reverse.

What do you mean “start to feel nervous”, are you getting nervous at that speed or boat is acting weird?
NXT drives like to surface same as #8 drives, I’m not sure but from the photo it seems to me that those drives are sitting too low, this could be part of your problem, I understand that you can’t go higher with these drives, to begin these are massive drives for 33 foot boat...

my guess with these 3 sets -- the engines, drives , assemblies / boxes - what 3000 lbs alone ---- maybe tad more basically in a 31 ft hull. This hull came from the 31 with an addition of a built in swim platform and then 2 steps added. Man thats alot of stern weight in small 33 length boat. Really not even a true 33 ft boat
To be clear I am not knocking the boat at all but IMO the STERN weight especially in rough waters nor anywhere else might not be helping you out either

I built a 33 avs with700 N/A number 5s we had to run the prop shaft 1inch below the bottom to get the boat to plane. but the 2 boats I built with NXTs we had to get the prop shaft above the bottom because the gear case design created way to much lift on the stern. the first thing I would try would be 4 blade props but you may have to move the drives up higher on the transom and cut out the bottom of the swimstep not that big of a deal a lot scarier looking than it is doing. What gear ratio are you running ? I might have something you can try just cover the shipping.
