Hi,

you need to turn the prop to 6900-7000 rpm. I use a Max5 25 with great results on my Phantom 25 and 400R. 89 mph at 7,040 rpm.

The Max5 is a modified Maximum with less blade area. Can be run very high with low slip. You need to run the propshaft approx 2 inches above the bottom, if not the big gearcase will drag you down.

i would try a Max5 26/27 and run it as high as I can get it 😁

another option is Hill 5bl cleaver made for 409R.

Hi,

ST has less transomlift since the tube is shorter. So if you boat need bowlift to fly the ST could be better. But you can try various setback to solve this. I may go for the regular one, and experiment with setback spacers. On my boat the Max5 both create bowlift and manage to carry the whole lenght of the boat with less drag. The old style Phantom is known to run very flat. Not as Tuff 24 which rides on the tail 😁
