Someone told you, you had a "worn out" Bravo 1 prop so you buy a Bravo 1 FS.
But they're different as he posted.
And he suggested to get a hold of a good known Bravo 1 28 to compare to your "worn out" prop.
Now you're buying a 30 5 blade.

I guess you're hung up on the 80 MPH claim.

I just posted this in another thread;
Call Sunsation with your HIN, I don't have one so never had the need.
But every time questions as yours arise, people suggest to and say they are a very good resource and helpful.

Ask straight from the source what that boat should or actually did run!!!

To each their own, that may be too easy though.

Went on another test run today. Was def some operator error. Boat went 77 bouncing off the rev limiter. Seems I was keeping the trim tabs in the neutral position. It didn’t like that and I put them all the way up and it was a game changer. As for the 5 blade. The original place I bought from also recommended a 5 blade. Same with people here. Don’t see how trying a 5 blade out is a bad idea. If the 30 is a little too much at least I know where I stand and know exactly what I need to order and can just resell. Or send it out and have it labed if it close 🤷‍♂️. I’m not super hung up n the 80 claim. At this point I’m happy high 70s but wouldn’t mind the same speed and some lower cruising rpm if that’s possible.

77! That's better. I thought you might be running with the tabs down some. I assume you're running with the trim up some, but not enough that you're losing bite? Curious to see the rpm with the 5 blade.

yea easing it up until the mph drops and back down a hair. My trim gauge isn’t currently working on drive. It’s getting replaced soon. I’m curious myself. Remnants of Hurricane coming up here next weekend so not sure when I’ll be able to test it but I’ll let you know for sure. Thanks for the advise.

I don't think he was throwing darts ... someone gave him some bad advice. Turns out he needed more throttle planing, tabs and drive down. That was the "slip" issue. I suggested a 5 blade prior to knowing he needed to make driving adjustments. We'll see how it runs with the 5 blade. I don't think he's going to damage his drive with only 500 hp.

Sounds like you're getting it squared away.

Same place that told you your Bravo prop was "worn out"?

Bad advice yes.
And with him being new to boating overall as he said that's why I shrug my head to not wait and see what the previous owner who made the 80 MPH claim to say and maybe take him out on the boat. Or anyone, maybe the place he bought it from.
The OP made it sound as if the guy is, just wasn't immediately.
Just buying props (throwing darts) with no baseline even how to run the boat.

That's debatable. LOL

Did you run the 5 blade yet?
