Just because the throttle lever is at 3/4 does not mean that the carb is not at WOT. Most carbs and throttle bodies will be at WOT when the throttle lever is at 75-90% of the throw.
Um ok, stupid question just to clarify - you mean the carb is wide open while lever is anywhere from 75-100%? Meaning the motor wouldn’t have any more to go? That’s not my case; motor is stamped for 4600rpm WOT. I achieve 4600rpm at 3/4 throttle but if I push the lever all the way the motor will blow past 5200rpm.

BTW, Baja's will porpoise easily with 3 blade props and minimal trim. I had a 1993 24 Outlaw. 23 Mirage Plus was fastest prop, but a 24 Bravo 1 was better for every day cruising.
This is great info! Thanks for sharing your experience. I knew it came with a Mirage but didn’t know what pitch. I think I’ll be on the lookout for one, as I’m still surprisingly disappointed with the Rev4 21P I’m borrowing and currently running.
