I had a lot of lean until I went with a -2 lower. Check your propshaft in relation to your hull.

I was at 6 1/2 inches , 24 degree hull , no step or notch. Now 4 1/2. No setback..

how much more prop could you run with it coming up? besides the torque roll how did it effect the boat?

When I had a stock 502 mag mpi , the -2 didn’t work well for me. 22 donzi classic , 24 degree hull. I had the engine rebuilt , went the carbed 540 route. Just north of 700 horsepower . With the increase in power , I really couldn’t run it. Too much lean … I then went with a -2 and everything worked better. I recently took my lower to wilson custom marine and they blueprinted it. Now it’s a dream to drive. And the hull design is old and dated but , it’s steady up to 85 .. north of that , she gets a little squirrelly. Still working the kinks out. But I rarely go over 80 so for me , it’s a really nice handling boat now. The imco made the biggest difference and second to that was wilson’s work on my lower and my prop. I am around 12 percent prop slip and I am happy with the setup.
