Drive showers are correct 👍 That is a lot of growth but not sure thats why it won't plane. You had problems when it was clean too correct? Also looks like stock bravos. The mystery continues.

yeah, the problem still exists when clean. It's completely unusable with the current condition. Once clean it will still have a very hard time planning with atleast about 30% prop slip.

Do you have a GoPro? Try and place it at the transom while trying to get underway. Safer than you hanging iff the back😳

it's been in about a month, even after I clean it the problem will still exist. Also when I first bought it this problem still happened before it ever sat in water. With its current growth the boat can not plane, when clean it's about 30 seconds to plane with really bad prop slip numbers.

no, don't have one. I didn't really like the idea of hanging off either, maybe I'll look into buying a camera.

Well I gave up trying to diagnose it myself since I can't get any time off lately. Found a local well trusted performance boat shop, seems to be really knowledgeable. Anyways he's taken the boat out multiple times. He fully cleaned off the bottom of the boat better, and said it planes fine just by putting it up to 3500rpms and giving it a bit to walk up on plane. Mentioned the cruising speed, he said it could be the props making the rpms be so high. Asked about top speed, he said he could only get to 64mph max at 4700rpm. He just said the new motor is probably still tight, has about 10hrs on it. And the other engine could be getting tired. Did that might improve, but I doubt it. (If I'm wrong tell me, but I find it hard to belive a 496ho would get the same speed as a 496 mag)

So now after having spent $2500 for the problems to still exist, I'm giving up trying to fix it since a mechanic with all the equipment can't figure out why it lost 7mph I'm not going to be able to. Lol.

I'll be trying to sell it next year, if anyone is interested in a '03 Outlaw with some issues let me know.
