Adjusting propeller
Hi.
I have a Arriva 2552 with a 525 EFI and i'm running a stock Bravo 1 26P that gives me 68 mph at 4900rpm's. I have talked to 2 different company's that are adjusting propellers here in Norway, and they both say its impossible to get more rpm's out of it, without reducing diameter. Is this true or dont they have the knowledge that you have in the US about labbing? I also have a Mirage plus 25P that gives me 70,3 mph at 5000 rpm's. Is reducing the diameter the only option? As i understand, my rpm's need to be closer to 5300-5400. Thanks in advance:drink: |
I had the same boat back in the day, mine had a 502 mag mpi and Im pretty sure I was running a 25p M+ also, having someone work over a prop is always a crap shoot you dont really know how the boat is going to react. Pretty sure the rev limiter is at 5350 on the 525 so Id stay below that

Yes i will try to get it closest to the the limiter as possible. That's where the power is they say:D

I would say their knowledge about labbing props is limited. There are several ways to gain rpm without reducing the diameter. Thinning and balancing the blades and then making sure each blade is exactly the same will probably give you 200-300rpms.

Thank you for your answers:drink: |
Removing the flare on the barrel gains about 50rpm from what I have read, but can also make it harder to get on plain. I believe the flair also helps with bow lift.
