Explain this prop hub please
This is the hub of a Mirage Plus I looked at today. It's for sale locally. I'm no prop expert, but aside from the hub not being pushed in all the way, it just doesn't look right to me. Or is it ok? There are screws through the ventilation plugs to make them tight. They're visible in the one photo.

Other than the flow torque hub not seated, what do you mean is wrong?

There shouldn't be screws in any prop / hub if the two are suppose to be a match

The screws are covering the ventilation holes, I think.

I've never seen a prop hub that went into a round bore and was retained by 4 pcs of roughly 3/16 diameter rubber. Is this something from between the old fashioned solid rubber hub/ with metal center mount and the newer mount that has a square in the prop and uses a plastic sacrificial piece with a splined insert?
Or is this for a fat shaft. |

I'm thinking it is a hack with an old style rubber hub prop. Good catch, I didn't see it on first glance.
I need to take a look at a Flo Torq propeller to see what they should look like, but a square plug in a round hole must be wrong. It is a simple as that... |
