Making some progress! I just got the brass parts of the trim and steering components back from the chrome shop. They turned out extremely well.

Looks great. I never thought to chrome the steering bracket. Looks really good.

Rik- A buddy of mine and I were shooting the sh!t in the garage one night as I was packing the parts up to go to the chrome shop for the next day, he said don’t forget these. Talking about the steering brackets and I said sure why not. So, that’s how that came to be, last minute decision.

It's coming along slowly. Boxes are finally in primer. They were in poor condition due to, in my opinion, neglect.

Sorry guys have not been on here on a while. I've been busy in the garage working on this thing. If I'd quit changing plans it would be done. Hoping to go to dyno in a week or so. The latest change on the engine was to get rid of the distributor and go coil on plug. This opened up a whole lot of new gremlins for me to figure out. I decided to go with AEM smart coils and a 58x crank trigger and thing in working on figuring out is the cam sync. Since in using a 58x crank trigger it needs a 4x cam sync. They are not off the shelf so I need to build one which we are doing now. I'll keep you posted.

I made a little progress with the cam syncs. They turned out pretty good imo. Just an FYI the used cam sensor is for mock up purposes only.

Here is the sea strainer we have built. It is 18 inches tall and 5 5/8 diameters. It has a solid o-ringed lid. I just need to figure out where I am going to place the inlet and outlet orientation.
