Finally getting some pretty stuff done for her. I spent this weekend cleaning up my motor and all the brackets and accesories to re paint em. After I did the water pump pulley I realized now is a good time to install a water inlet crossover kit on it so that will get trashed. Anyone think I'll get any noticeable gains from doing this? The color is sonic blue from the early 2000's fords. I'm very happy with the results and its nice to see some shiny things come together on this project. I need to locate an intake and order my V/C's so I can paint them and reassemble the engine. I'll get back to the stringers in a couple weeks once I get the motor straightened out so my parts arent scattered all around the shop.

The boat came from my buddy Mike up here in Newbury. Keep up the good work man! I'll let him know of your thread.

Here's an update, last weekend I got to ripping out the engine stringers and after I got em out I found some rot in the transom, so out that came. I'm about 90% done removing the transom. The parts that were wet and rotting were very easy to remove but 75% of it was dry as a bone and a real PITA to remove. I'm not getting any work done this weekend but I'm gonna get back cracking on here next weekend and New Years day. This boat is gonna have a "Crazy" amount of work into her. The peace of mind know all the wood will be fresh and solid is gonna be really nice once shes all done. Heres some carnage pics.

I also scored some nice aluminum VC's off ebay for CHEAP. I'm gonna sandblast and paint them blue to match the motor. I'm also going to paint my new Edelbrock intake blue, then the motor will sit til the engine compartment is done.

the pictures make it look more purple than it is. After looking at alotta merc motors this is alot different but it was free so fine by me haha
this is the color

It is gonna be alot of work but I enjoy this kinda stuff. I restore cars for a living so this is a nice change from the norm. I'm hoping to start putting new wood back in it in a couple weeks.
