Cool post!! I will definitely be following it!! BTW I have a pair of tanks out of a scarab I bought for mine that you are welcome to have, don't have any need for them...I went back with four rather than converting to two and now know the cost of custom tanks...lol Keep the pictures rolloing!

They came out of a scarab, but i'll gladly get some measurements for you when I get back home in a week or so. Like I said they are doing me no good just taking up space so you are welcome to have them.

Depending what you are capable of and what connections you have and how much your into the boat for purchase price, I can see it

Capable of pretty much everything except building engines and drives, got all parts at cost... Guess I was rebuilding boats too old and not of enough great value in the 30 to 45 k... My guess is anything below... 60k you can,t really make it, on a total resto of course, not just for some tlc...

I can do almost all of it except the glass work. I think if I take my time and watch for deals on parts and not get carried away with the "might as well" I can get close to my goal. May go over a little.

yeah I know what ya mean I have seen a lot of em go to waste. and a lot of ppl just turn their noses at an old powerboat for the fact of not wanting to do the glass work. I bought my fountain then stumbled onto a boat that would be an awesome project but just don't have the funds to do both right now.
