Nice boat, hard to believe another 236 lived so close I'm in pine bush. If you buy it back let me know I can help you out with the rebuild I have all my transom, bulkhead and stringer templates. Here's some more progress from before it got to cold.

Think I'm finally ready to order the new transom assembly just haven't decided between the mag or the HP. |
Turbo I've been looking for a sales brochure if you find it I would love to have a copy of it, I would also be interested in the graphics of you want to sell them. Motormanmatt thanks for the complements, its been a learning experience but its been fun. Just waiting for warmer weather to start tearing apart the cockpit floors and stringers.

Im looking forward to see the boat all finished!

Finally got back to work on my boat.... I tore the cockpit carpet out and found a hack job patch glued in with caulk over the gas tank. I guess the only plus is that 1/2 of the floor came out in one big chunk with pieces of 2x4s glued to the back of it. No wonder the floor felt soft. But my main concern now is the gas tank, it was replaced in 05 (explains the floor patch) should I replace it with a new plastic tank or just have this on checked out. My plan is to replace the stringers and the floor, the floor was originally fully fiberglased as one piece so I was going to replace it the same way. I'm afraid to bury the tank back under the floor and possibly have a problem in the future. What have you guys done in this situation? Ill try to get some pics up.

Here's a few recent progress pics. The first is of the tank where it has some surface corrosion, what's your opinions of using a 11 year old tank? I don't mind replacing it if need be, I only want to do this once the best way I can.

Does anyone know what this stuff is? Its between all of my original wood and hull joints. Its extremely light but stuck to both the wood and fiberglass awesome. |
Seebold, really nice work. I've always liked the look of those boats. Something to bond it?
