Two steps fwd. Plenty of new hardware added, but still have lots of hinge work to do...which is always a PITA.
Rubrail is still in transit.....& next week: start bending pipes and squaring away the metal work. Of all thing, trailer tires went extra innings (why is that?) A decent D rated trailer tire is like unheard of. http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/a...nePics2133.jpg I like the Accon cleats, the Boat Buckles should make life easier. The flush fuel fill and vent worked out awesome.... http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/a...nePics2137.jpg We have (some) color. Plans for the bottom have changed for the 100th time....more on that later. Didnt want a popup cleat on the bow, and found some pretty cool LED Nav lights. The horn in the console worked out great for looks, but sounds like a sick goose. Oh well... http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/a...nePics2140.jpg Threw the doghouse in to see if my tape measure still worked....its big & heavy, exactly as planned... http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/a...nePics2143.jpg |
As soon as its dry, its gettin wet...
The bottom was sprayed this week. The plan changed to Interlux Epoxy.
Disregard the tape, temporary cover for dirt & water while she cooks outside. http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/a...nePics4069.jpg http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/a...4078resize.jpg |
Made it to the water. A minor bug or 2 to work out, but progress, is progress.

WOW -- I am impressed-- I wish I had your talent and time to "play". You did a phenomenal job. I think the neatest was the kids tubing!!

Some Alterations
After considerable thought, I decided to change things up a little.
Went ahead & cut the console off while in the barn, cut the deck & pulled the fuel tank. Cut the tank down to 60 gal, added a transverse stringer and finished off the aft area the tank resided in. Boat is back in the shop and deck is being patched as we speak. Once done, The finished area between the console & engine may become additional storage. With Spring right around the corner, the goal this year is more time boating...less time working on it. Still havent gotten to a Swim Platform or Arch yet. If anyone has either and wants to donate or sell....I'm game. :drink: http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/a...Repair2005.jpg http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/a...Repair2003.jpg http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/a...e1-9-15008.jpg http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/a...e1-9-15002.jpg |
