Some holes had to be drilled to be able to attach the hinges for the seats.

The seats were quite simple, just cut out and drill some ventilation holes.

And then it was time to go shopping for foam and vinyl.

And to start cutting the foam, I'm quite satisfied with the cutting quality.

And then one day it started to look a bit like bolsters.:)

And with the foam ready it was time to get the scissors and sewing-machine into action.
First part was the seat.

And some fabric was fastened to be able to pull the vinyl down.

And testing the fit to decide if I should give up or continue.

And glueing the last piece of foam in place.

The flash-light is merciless, the bolsters look better in daylight.
Am I satisfied with the result? Not really, but I am however extremely satisfied with having done all of the work myself.

The side-panels were a lot easier.

And in the paint shop the work on the hull-sides continued. Looks as if the finish will be "acceptable". In the end the entire hull will be clear-coated and polished so these pics are before that.

And after the white paint was laid the work with the stripes began. Here I was impressed with the craftmanship and realized how difficult this is. The height of the hull differs about 1/2"-3//4" between the sides meaning you have to compensate for this when placing the stripes. Also like all old hulls it's not even. So when stepping into the paint shop after the first stripe was painted the first impression was that the stripe wasn't straight. When I told the painter that he just smiled and said "You're never gonna look at the boat from that angle, just take a few steps to the side and look again!" And when I did that the stripe appeared to be totally straight. So the stripes had to be painted in a shape compensating for the unevenness of the hull to make them appear straight when looking from the side.

nope. you guys gotta wait a good long time. ive had to move around a bit because the shop i had rented out that i just moved into the building got sold so i had to move everything out so ive been looking around for new places to move into that i wont be having to move out of again. But i have been working on the cosmetics. got my designs drawn up, my interior is getting done up two tone red and white with alot of cross stitching. got my paint with a cross between the 90MPH scheme, with the paint that dave just did on that TG with the silver and white. with a bit of ideas coming from the AMG boat as well as some newer TG's... going to be classic but aggressive.or maybe flat black with some SICK monster logo's :boat: Not sure which paint im going with yet though. ive always used a PPG - Base- Clear application which has given me some good results, but at my work, we use Dupont performance coatings, i thought it would be cool to use House Of Kolors paint but i dont think HOK paint will go with this boat.

but to the OP, im digging the hockey stick scheme! looking great!

With one color left to paint on the stripes it was decided to let the paint cure, and work with the cockpit began.
Some glasswork with holes that are no longer going to be used.

And to give you an idea of the precision and eye for details the guy doing the glass and paint job has: When I visited to look at the progress he mentioned that the back end of the cockpit was uneven and not even straight. But I told him that there was going to be a bench there so nobody would ever be able to notice it so he could leave it as it was. He just grunted a bit and I went home. The next day I got the following picture on my cell phone with the message: "It's straight now!"
