Awesome boat Cole! I may need to check into your steering setup. I put my boat in the water for some shake down runs last weekend with the Bravo drive and was very pleased! I was running the PTProp 28p from my Alpha and noticed much greater bow lift than the Alpha had and a more efficient run. At 3k rpm with the unit trimmed I was running 50mph gps & at 4500 rpm running 72mph. The boat tended to get a bit squirrelly above 72mph so I backed off.

I don't know if k-planes are needed, the steering valve upgraded or external would be better.

Any opinions welcome!

Check and see how loose the drive is, does it flop side to side if the pin is worn it will. As the boat lifts at speed the condition gets exaggerated giving you the side to side (chine walking) prop choice has been a big deal for us a 27 Mirage lifts to much and the boat movers around alot we have settled on a Tempest 27 and we turn it 5,800 87.4 mph

Nice interior lighting im going to do the same, But add in a set of soft white strips also. We just picked up a set of 781 heads at a swap meet for $150 bucks ill be getting larger valves put in this summer with inconel exhausts and cleanig up the ports in my free time.. I also have some low hour aluminum 496 manifolds. Gonna put the manifolds on when it stops snowing and enjoy it another summer. Next winter the heads, and eddy airgap and cam will be going on the 330 short block( if its still alive). Hoping i can get 1 mph from the exhaust this summer and would like 65-67 with the new top end. Im scared to push the alpha much over that.

Cole the drive is nice & tight...going to try a different prop this weekend and see how she performs.

Eddie I just ordered some white LEDs to replace all the courtesy lighting too...now all I need is to find a power LED stern light!

Runs great but gets squirrelly in the mid 70's, thinking hydraulic steering may help or tabs. So I try to keep it under 70 if I can, lol!

Any luck on the motor sale?

Sold the 250 blower and still have the 522 ci short block, it will make good power with the right head on it.

Fast N Loud,

What do you figure it will cost to dispose of the hull you stripped for its goodies?

Didn't cost anything to dispose of, our local recycling center requires the boat stripped of all but the glass and then they crush it.
