There's some threads on transom removal. They list tools needed to do the job.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks
Luckily my transom is ok....this is just the bulkhead between the engine bay and the fuel tank which is under the cockpit deck. I'll look up the threads though as some tips may help.

I say fix it. My bulkhead in my scarab rotted due to water running off the top of the tank and sitting against the tank and bulkhead. Like was posted earlier, if you fix it you know it's done right.

Was able to fit it in the garage.

did some more digging ...doesn't seem to be an end to the mush.

stringers are wet but not rotten...Still have some more foam to get out. Not sure how I'm gonna get it back together with the floor on but we'll see.

On a brighter note....I got a call today from the machine shop that the long block and heads are ready to go so I will pick them up early next week. Still need to order a cam and some new arp head bolts.

Thanks...whole lot more of a project than I planned on...just got some marine grade plywood and am ordering some fiberglass off amazon. Need to find a reasonable source for resin.
The pistons are forged srp's...it is a complete forged eagle kit. It's been balanced and is just missing the cam and headbolts for putting the heads on. The kit was real nice and didn't take much to balance out.
