Header pipes hit air cleaner???
I ditch the stock exhaust and went to Eddie Marine Thunder headers. But where I need to connect the hose to down to the manifold the air cleaners are in the way. I call Eddie Marine and they were scratching their head they were use to carbureted motors. Would K&N air filters clear? Banging my head...

Does the top lid come off the screen ? If so, maybe cut the screen shorter by a touch ?
Edit in: too bad the stainless riser doesn't have a female fitting on the other side. The manifold usually does.

The lid comes off i could cut it down to get the hose on then go test it out to see if it gets enough air and doesn't affect the performance. Here's two pictures I just took straight on.

I would cut the screen down. It won't affect performance.
Those are the same flame arrestors used on 502EFI's so they'll still flow plenty for your engines if cut down an inch.

How is the overhead clearance? If you have enough hatch clearance you could use a spacer like a Whipple to raise the intake 8-10". See if the wife buys it otherwise cutting down the screen would be best bet.
