LTZ, Scott re-worked the engines to make more power. He also re-painted them silver, look like jewels in there. He can't leave things alone, haha. I live between Penticton and OK Falls on the east side of the lake in Heritage Hills. Shockwaves are nice, is it a 25 or 28?

OP, sorry to sidetrack this thread, i always liked the U series models. There's a U-17 near me, nice condition with sunbrella cover on it. Don't know what power is in it but would like to ask the owner if I see him. I personally prefer the U-19 since the lakes where I live can whip up some hefty swells.Looking forwards to your progress. |
I have always wondered about swapping the 454s with LSs when my SR-1 292 needs to be repowered.

awesome

Nice project! How fast does the U17 go now? I have a 1996 U17 5.0 MPI SX. I took the plastic off of this boat and and ran it on it's maiden voyage. It's the most fun you can have with you clothes on.

[QUOTE=enginerd;4416062]Thanks Corey, pictures would be great. Thanks for the link to the summit damper too. I'm assuming you didn't use the keyway?
Very cool Taboma. I kind of regret not buying the U-19, but they wouldn't fit in my old garage. I love your Skater by the way. I printed the engine mount yesterday. I'm happy with the design, just needs to be tweaked a bit more. (don't judge the bilge any other progress on your boat.i wouldn’t mind seeing some pics 👍 |
How’s the build coming Eric?
