Good speed on the recall 👍

I’m starting to think this build will never end, I reckon you’re having too many good boating days! If I’m right, a few pics with bikini girls onboard would be nice.

I rode with him yesterday and I’d say it’s running well enough that as soon as the weather warms back up he’ll be trading his local tech and dock help for a Cheetah crew. Boat feels like it sheds 8000#’s in 2nd gear.

From what I hear his favorite drive builder now lives in Sarasota.

Did you do a prop change or something?
69MPH @ 4228
then
77MPH @ 4172
Are you just "that good" at tweaking set up?

Even though I asked about 10 times, what RPM will these run at WOT?

I haven't officially moved here yet.
My favorite drive re-builder lives in Sarasota also, his name is Jeff and he works at Innovation after a career at Merc. I should get them together for tea or something..

The recall show max speed and RPM since last reset. With 2spd trans, max RPM is always gonna be in 1st gear vs max speed in high gear. I've yet to spin em 3500 in high gear, unless ya count when that driveshaft let go.. So there is no correlation between recall RPM and speed.

I think 77mph was somewhere around 3200R yesterday with Hoodoo's 18x34's 4-blades on there. Fastest recall listed above of 81 was with Fricks 18x32's on 4's. I'm waiting on a pair of 18x40's 6-blades to show up for a trial run. The 18x34's are best props we've tested to date. Plane decent, but can still rip em loose below 60. Have a feeling 6 blades are gonna be the ticket. All the other BIG power diesels I've seen floating around have one thing in common..

As for RPM limiter, the GM ECM stops firing at 5800R by design. And I've only touched that once... lol
For now the soft limiters are turned off cause I wanted to have the option of spinning in the 5's for testing. Once we get things set, I'll turn em down to around 4200R where it's nice a safe all day.

Kidturbo, it may have been mentioned earlier as to why and may have escaped me. Are you testing in Florida vs Ohio due to weather, drive builder, other reasons?

If Banks won’t make anymore of those intercooler/intakes and ignoring the condensation issue, would a super chiller stacked on a sheet metal manifold remove enough heat for a 500 hp set up?
