Awesome build!! Your boat is going to be ridiculous and you are going to have a blast running it! Don't see many smaller offshore boat builds on this site anymore, and that sucks, I think most people are on FB now. Years ago I built up a 24 Sunsation, had a ton of fun with that boat.
|
Thanks! I am excited to wrap up, i think its a good size boat for upstate ny lakes
|
You say catch can? As in you're using that as a sea strainer for the chiller?
What brand is that? |
I was looking at the engine pic in post 31, how is your fuel regulator plumbed in ? is it in series with the two fuel rails

The catch can I believe is the polished tank right on the front of the motor. The sea strainer is a Hardin.

-10AN line from tank to 100 micron filter, weldon fuel pump, to hardin marine fuel filter (https://www.hardin-marine.com/p-1458...separator.aspx), -10an to y ( two -6an) to each fuel rail, each fuel rail to fuel pressure regulator, and -6an return to tank. below is a better angle. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...1e3f73c5a.jpeg |

Anyhow, I'm eager to see how the boat does when it's done. Going to be a nice setup! |
Got my electronic trim tab indicators wired up last night and wired in, sensors take a 12v source , and output a 5v signal to AEM 22 channel Can sensor module to CAN so it can be sent to my AEM cd7 Dash. Not to bad to configure and pretty neat once set up. I have two wires going to the front of the boat for all signals instead of one per signal.

Great build!
|
What is the part number of the trim sensors? Where did you get them? I was going to run some linear potentiometers off the cables into a 3D printed box. Your appear much easier.
|
Beautiful build, very clean & done neatly. Just a question, the Hardin Marine exhaust flaps, are they spring loaded or do the rest closed naturally?

Do you think that prop is going to be big enough for that engine? Or are you going for better holeshot? I know nothing of imco drives so that could have something to do with it. Just curious.

Not much progress with the boat in storage but I have been getting in some parts and finalizing new upholstery designs.
Eddie Marine Flush Port since I no longer use pickup on drive / Data ports so I can Plug into PDM, CD7 Dash, and AEM Infinity. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...4bd597f905.jpg AEM INFINITY 308 STANDALONE ECUhttps://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-gd6o...792753.jpg?c=2 AEM MEFI PNP Jumper kit for Infinity series 3 to MEFI 4 https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-gd6o...792693.jpg?c=2 |
Prop should be close. I had a hopped up 575 in a 28' Advantage and I ran a 28" Bravo 1
|
She is out of storage and I am back to chipping off the list. I also decided to go with a MSD duel sync distributor over the winter to give the AEM a cam and crank signal as well as going with a coil near plug set up. Also decided that it would be a miss if I spent all this time with the rest of the boat but did not touch the interior so I contacted xt-innovations and had some new skins made. The quest continues !

did you repin the aem to mefi4 controller to mefi3 successfully or now that your adding CNP, did you just abandon the rest of the mefi harness?
im interested in seeing how that 5 blade handles , I tried countless props on my over powered 272 Baja and could never make a 5 blade work (boat would tq roll violently when you accelerated). Looking good overall, Smitty |

little safety net from dry startups and fluctuating oil pressure hopefully never need it :)
