Default Roller Rocker Options

Rather then playing a guessing game with this figured I would ask the community. What roller rockers is everyone running that fit under stock valve covers, I have a pair of carbon fiber valve covers from a 1075 and want to keep them but also run roller rockers. Let me know what you are running. Thanks in advance.

Definitely not gold CRANES that Merc used from the factory. Picking and counting the needle bearings outta the cam galley is not fun. I don't think I was the only boat that happened to. I went with Scorpion titanium. They fit under the factory 700SCI valve covers..

Give Teague Custom Marine a call they would definitely know what fits and what's best for your application.

Have you looked into Yella Terra? I have used them for years in various high rpm drag racing motors & have never had a failure. Just a suggestion.

I know many will disagree with me on this but so be it. When I built my 502s for the 38 Cat 21 years ago, I decided to buy USA built parts. I installed Harland Sharp Roller rockers and they have preformed flawlessly for the past 21 years, the engines are procharged and will run at 5-54K for extended runs, I closely inspect them for wear and have not had to send them back for rebuilds yet. running a mild cam at 237/243 625 lift. They have the Diamond series that I would recommend for normal grind cams with up to 500lbs open pressure..
Let the bashing begin, I'm ready!

I went with the Comp Cams Ultra Pro Magnums and they nearly fit under the stock low profile covers. I believe they also make shorter lock nuts that would've allowed it to happen. I can’t give you a solid answer but perhaps a direction to follow.

Scorpion rollers from SummitRacing.
Look for the marine 1.7 version.
Scorpion Endurance Marine Series 4014 7/16
I was told that is what Merc uses on their 1050 motors.

Fit under aluminum Hardin Xtreme Series Valve cover 620-44050 angle cut covers just fine
