How can you tell? And if it is, do I need a pump and external reservoir?

These are wet 6’s on this fishing boat. Notice the tie bars mount on the back of the drive. Dry sumps mount on the top. The res and pump are in the drive on the dry sumps, no external parts that I’m aware of.

Another issue, i want to change oil and the internal filter inside the cone. From the manual it says i need som special tool. Or will i manage with normal tools?

the only way to tell is there is a vent plug on the side of the cav plate on the right side towards the front on the drive. they made that drive non dry sumped for a couple of years before the dry sump.

So I could have a wet sump after all? Do you have a picture or a more detailed description?

Did you mean that the wet or dry has the vent plug?
