littledcsrodshop how close to lake cumberland are you, been cons. a spring trip there but not quite for sure the best part to go to. any info from a local would be great. i dont want to end up in the poon toon district.

lake Cumberland is in KY. The water will be down 45 feet from normal summer pool for next 3-5 years while they work on Wolf Creek Dam. You might want to check out Dale Hollow Lake. It is the next one down stream. About 30-50 miles south from LC depending what part of the lake you are on.

thanks for the info. how long has the water been down? would it be best to wait or does the other spot have as good of powerboat scene. winters are a little long in mich. and i need a early spring fix!

I am about 3hrs. from lake cumberland in KY. The lake we go to is Watts Bar & it usually isn't up to full pool untill around mid April or so. I have never been to Dale Hollow but I here it is pretty nice, It is west of us. Watts bar is a pretty good lake & a large lake , However the Powerboat scene isn't that hot as far as offshore boats goes. There are a few but they are few & far between with most of them being at our dock. Let me know if I can help you with anything , I would be glad to.
