Don't forget about drives, transom assemblies, steering, wiring, misc. rigging and of course the glasswork. All that and you might get 8k for the ob's. It ain't there........

Besides if you think the yellow twin seems like a project wait until you start this conversion

YEA.... well i have no clue what really going on in my head. Looks like your old boat may be forsale soon if stuff dont go in the right direction for him.

You know Jdub i should of just picked up your boat, What was the reason i didnt?

Just add it to the list of me kicking tires and something falling apart in the long run.

I understand about not liking the outboards, but ya never know until you try. The maintenance factor alone is a good reason to look at an outboard boat. If its the old motors you dont like, try to buy it without power, or resell the old motors, and upgrade to opti's. I said the same thing about outboards, 'til I moved to Florida, and many times had to put the boat back on the trailer 'cuz the I/O gods werent with me that day. Most times at the ramp, I wasnt running, and some old geezer was putting a 197o's wellcraft in the water, and the old Johnson starts right up. he goes boating, and I go spend more $$$ on the car motor, think about it. I love my outboard, and would have a hard time justifying going back to I/O.

Great Boat !

Was not raced BY Saber , but was "Team Saber" back in it's racing days .

Don't waste any more time thinking about a rerig to I/O's . . . there is a way too much to do in the "engine compartment " alone to convert ... plus that you will screw up a nice boat !

Which one is coming up with the 525's ?

Whats Chris want for this one ?

Purple Haze is the boat he is referring to - 525SC's not 525EFI

Boat was origanlly owned by Mike Zingale here is Ohio. Raced as Team Saber for a few years with GLOPRA/GLSCS.

When Chris bought it the motors were gone thru by Mark Pokler (Cat Can Do) Liter Marine. He's one of the best. Those motor run really strong if maintained. Haven't seen the boat for a few years but know Chris keeps his stuff pretty nice.

I like what he did with the dash and sitdowmn conversion.
22k put you into a nice rig with the ability to upgrade. A pair of 300's would make a huge improvement over the old 2.5.

Default yellow twin

[QUOTE=slpcamaross97;3079019]. Im in either direction twins or single. but just for ease of use i would say single. but like how the boats sit in the water with twins. I like the yellow tiwn but seems like a bit of a project,

What yellow twin ? Is there another Saber Available ? Yellow ?
