We are having a heck of a time setting this up.
she is Porpoising like ya read about. Added a 1 inch spacer
putting drive height at 4inch below hull. Normally your first
correction would be to trim the drive in However this is occurring
at full drive in trim setting. If you try to trim drive out it gets considerably worse.

We added 180lbs to the forward bow with no change.

The million dollar question would be. What causes a v hull
to porpoise?

after 45 MPH its gets Scary.

Comparing (boats on the trailer) the max. trim in position to a number 6 drive
on a skater it looks as if the Konrad could use much more
negative trim. I know its not a fair comparison its all we had.

We did a angle find on the transom of the saber and it came in
at 12-13 degrees.

Again normally one would trim in to cure a porpoise Then set
the hull and then gradually increase trim and speed.
This does not seem possible with the current setup.

The current prop is a hydro p5x bow lifting.

Any suggestions anyone?

o boy, there on cds, and I have been trying to get my kid to show me how to post again:party-smiley-004:. the pics need to be adjusted= zoom in. so to night will be old ones, todays will be tomorrow. the camera I use has a cf card which does not work with my lap top. need a new camera 21p canon. got to sell the 10p slr. right now I need to find a stern lifting p5 prop to try. who knows we might have to much lift and need stern. the fun begins:party-smiley-004:. I didn't realize how much rocker are in these hulls. boxers sutphen has a straight and very sharp chines and transom. ours is more rounded like my baja ol.I might try MIKE or REGGIE and ask there thoughts on straight vees, and how to pin point whats the issue. balance/drive height/ or prop.

In my limited experience in testing props, my twin likes bow lift, more the better. I get some porpise at cruise if trimmed out but once I get into the power and get the bow to carry it goes away. Have had best results with 3 blade props, running old school mirage right now. Mine is very responsive to trim, doesnt take much to pick up the bow. Prop shafts are appx 6.5" below corresponding hull bottom. Maybe your drive or drive placement doesnt allow the leverage to carry the bow well? Or is set for too much positive trim? I can check my angles to the transom if it helps, but I know my running range (by eye) is well into negative when buried and only somewhat positive at best speed trim. Trimmed all the way down I get no porpise at any speed, but at low speed any added positive trim will induce a serious propise. I would try a 3 or 4 blade prop if you have an appropriate sized one you can use.

Just FYI my info may not be absolutely helpfull since I believe your boat has the older style bottom. Not sure how much difference it makes, but talking with a friend who has hull 1 with the old bottom, bigger single, his acts a bit different than mine. Have you talked to Doug at Saber? He may have some ideas.
