I'm going to try to be there, any idea where the run is going?

Yes, last 2 numbers are your hull number. If anyone wants to add details such as current power, boat name, actual location let me know. I know some of them but its not really my place to give out details on someone elses boat.

martins custom marin 04-01-2011 08:29 PM

mine is hull #19 a 1995 offshore with a 540 ci name feels so right located in charlotte mi .

No, the very last two numbers are the year it was built....

1990 28 Saber
Twin 470hp 383ci Small Blocks
Team KANSAS (the old Wavehippie)
Basehor, KS.
Owner Brad Harrington

I've always heard that it won a "A Class" National Championship back in it's "Wavehippie" days, in 1991 or so...

We won the 2006 SBI, UIM, APBA Class 4 World Championship in Key West.

FunHome 04-01-2011 10:11 PM

BTW, in this thread there is a list that shows a picture of all the 28's it's on page 7-8...

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...cs-here-7.html

You could grab the pic's of each for your updated list..

I am open for discussion but the last #'s of my HIN are 0014, and I know it is #14 from the ordered pics you referenced below that Parnell posted. Maybe their numbering system changed at some point.

Hey Chris, Not much new here on the boat nor to anybody's suprise its been in limbo again for several months now.. I basically work on it until I run out of parts & then get hung up again until I can swing some more.. I hope to pick up around 30' of 1 1/4" water line & 15' orso of #12 oil lines by the end of the month so we'll see how that goes..

Btw: I love the avatar picture.. Your boat looks great in it !!

Yours is the nicest looking 28 I've seen. I wish I could've picked up Dr. Feelgood when it was available a few years ago. They look like fun boats.

I suppose I could be talked into that.....

In reality, if you are looking to steal a boat, Saber isnt the one to look for. Nor are any of the other ones you are looking for, your short list is the same as mine was. Quality comes at a premium, and there aren't a lot of them out there. Most guys hang on to them, and if the rare must sell situation comes up you better be there with cash that day lol.

That being said, everything is for sale for the right price. My right price is what I have invested, I like the boat too much to sell for any loss. You probably wouldnt like the number, but its still 1/3 the price of new.

bigboat28 04-06-2011 01:56 PM

Hey chris, how about your motors for sale? LOL someday I will have some like those.

littledcsrodshop 04-06-2011 02:32 PM

Ok guys, I'll go ahead & throw my "everything could be bought" statement in the mix.. ;)
