Thanks satisfaction.

I purchased it in 2002 from someone locally in MI. He bought bought it 5 years prior out of Ft. Lauderdale-Pompano Beach area. She's an old saltwater boat and needed a little TLC. I really didn't need to do anything for the first few years I owned it. The always reliable 425's started eveyday and all I did was add gas and oil. So I decided she needed a little updating. I have loved the oldschool flat deck Scarabs since my parents took me to my first offshore race in the '80s in Grand Haven, MI. This was some of the first inspiration to stay in school and get an education cause one of these days I was going to get me one of them Scarabs. (cheesy I know, but totally true).

First thing I did was paint it with the WILD and never outdating graffics you see.

The pitted drives needed to be sanded down and back end needed to be cleaned up.

and her name needed a little updated font. and drives painted white.

Next the engines needed a little cleaning up. I hate saltwater!!

A little sand blasting and some powder coating.

Interior was fading and a little stiff and just plain out HOT in the summer.

Trying to keep it simple with white and red. The front bolsters are getting done this winter. There is red piping around the sun pad.

This past summer I had a valve seat crack and drop. I think due to bad gas and pushing her a to little hard. And holes and pistons don't go together.

So why not build a couple Solid Roller 470ci BBC's? That sounds like a great plan.

SRP pistons 0.070" over pistons. 9.6:1 with 124cc chamber head.

Merlin wedged and fully ported heads. They flow 377cfm intake and 268cfm exhaust at 0.650" lift.

2.30" intake 1.88" exhaust with xx degree back cut.

0.630" lift Intake and Exhaust 252 264 duration cam with Scorpion 1.7 rockers, with Isky solid roller lifters.

with Holley Barry Grant carbs. Do not know the size of carbs.
