No doubt one of the coolest projects I've seen. Just went through the entire thread and enjoyed every pic. I am having a tough time finding the time to get my project going but this really helps motivate me. Mine is a 30' Velocity 1980. I love the old school meets modern day projects.
Your paint scheme is absolutely perfect. It looks great.
My paint is in excellent shape though old school but I think I'm going to keep it and push the old look. Will go with new interior, dash, cabin for a fresher look. Even thinking of going back and adding the original P-18 number she ran when on the racing circuit.
Anyway, great boat and great project....

Thanks guys- I appreciate the support. It's hard to get excited anymore because everything takes so damn long!!!!
Got the floor support built and put in- and I got the floor in today- so I guess you could say I made some progress. I still got to figure out what I should seal the seams with( any ideas Eddie?). I used 1/2 inch fiberboard( the stuff they use inside vans) and that stuff is stout. I haven't even screwed it down and it doesn't flex at all. Here are some pics-

If its been sitting for six months the only way it will leak oil is if there is a hole in the oil pan. All the oil would have drained back into the pan. I think i would run the motor , find the leak and fix it while you still have lots of room. NOT trying to pee in your cornflakes but it will be a lot more work later. good luck & keep up the good work.

Yup- 3/8 hardware with fender washers, ran 8 of them into the sides so it is not sitting on the gas tank. Thanks for that idea by the way-
