Re: 81 Scarab project from hell
Scottie150,
I can't believe that is the same trailer! Can I ask you waht you paid to have it blasted and painted? I'm redoing my trailer this winter... I want to install electronic brakes as well. Thanks, Tom |
Re: 81 Scarab project from hell
Scarab22-1998- Blasting was $350, and paint and materials ran about $700 with labor included. You use a lot more paint on a trailer than something like a boat or a car because of all the areas you have to cover. Brakes were not that bad, I converted from surge to electric, parts were around $500 including the coupler. Where I got hosed was all the welding and metal work(rear tail section, fenders, coupler) and also the LED lights, man they don't give that stuff away. Hope this helps-
By the way- the brake work was easy- just plan on getting really dirty and good air tools!!!! :D |
Re: 81 Scarab project from hell
