You were right Eddie- opening the boxes was really fun- until the visa bill gets here-

And just so you don't think I was messing around all day- pulled the engine so I can replace the pan and exhaust, looking at the bilge I think I am going to paint it, recommendations?

Westcoast 05-19-2008 10:41 PM

You need to look into oil coolers and remote oil filters...I wish I did. Nice tranny:) Ditch the exhaust and heat exchanger...the motor is hiding under all thoses hoses.

I got the remote oil filters- but a somebody told me about this cool exhaust trick and now they won't fit- the story of my life. :hitfan:

Next time I talk to you remind me to tell you about my remote filter story.

OK- so I got the trim tabs on today- and got the shifter mounted in the dash, got the little cable ends from Mercury($34 bucks a piece, they see you coming on that one) got the right cables from Eddie Marine, the wrong U bolts, etc.

I also got my manifolds, the set I got off EBAY are aluminum, and the set I got from Teague are cast, so I think I am search of another set of manifolds. The exhaust gaskets that came with them were destroyed too- so I didn't get that done.

Tomorrow is prep the bilge for paint day so I will shoot some more photos and post them if I make some progress.:cool-smiley-011:

Those aluminum ones are nice and light...The cast ones are great if you are going to leave the boat in the water for a long period of time.
