1994 29 scarab rebuild project

The motors and drives had a million hours on them so I decided to tear it apart and re do it. New transoms and drives. Mercury re-man long blocks. Not bad , they come with new heads and a 2 year warranty! My dash panels had the paint chipping off so I decided to do them over in carbon fiber. The interior is gutted. Wood was all rotten under the covers of the rear bench. A couple of drain holes would have eliminated the rot. Making new bench and upholstry getting going. At least the mechanical is done! Bulkheads and stringers were all sound thank god! Just a mechanical/cosmetic update.

Good luck with the remodel. I'm the same as you when it comes to redoing everything. The only thing left stock on mine is the hull and cabin inerior. Other than, that everything is new or upgraded. There great boats and can handle the rough stuff with ease for its size!!
