Looking For Windsheld
#4
Good luck is all I have to say!!!! I took a huge wave over the bow and broke both my windshields.
I know every surplus shop in the Sarasota area along with many staff members and engineers from Wellcraft. The older windshields and all of these windshield molds are long gone. If you have parts and pieces left from the broken windshield there are a few companies that can reproduce, very expensive.($5k) I happedn to make a template of my old broken parts and pieces and purchased 1/8" smoked polycarbonate, so far so good 3rd season and only stress cracks,(still waiting for this thing to let loose and split open). It is also very expensive cost is about $900 per sheet, required 2 sheets. This stuff is indestructable and bends to unbelievable radius'. Scared the hell out of me bending this to fit. Some people say apply heat some say no heat. I went with no heat and once again so far so good. I highly recomend anyone with the old rap around shields make a template now and stick it in your tool box (just in case). Lots of these older rap arounds windshield scarabs out there wish someone would make a mold. I came close but found a less expensive fix. Check with Solstis Plastics in Michigan. Dont bother with anyone in the Cleveland market,or Sarasota for that matter. Good luck!!!!

You could also look into replacing it with a flared type faring, but if you go with a windshield and need fasteners, see this link:

We're getting ready to order some, minimum quantity is 25 pieces so we're pooling orders together.
