My 28 Excel after 4 years of work

Well After 4 years I am getting towards the end of my project. I still have to blueprint the hull and finish the cabin interior. I don't have any before and afters to post but those of you that know the 28 Excel you can see what has bee done.

What you can see is the work that went into the hull. I had a rotted fire wall as well as the stringers forward of the fire wall. They were all gutted and replaced with a composite material Called Sea Cast. Its many times stronger than wood and will never rot. We also integrated the Engine stringers to the main stringers and fire wall 10X's better than the factory and added extra bulk heads. The hull and deck were re bonded and machine screwed with lock nuts and a aluminum backing plated around the whole boat. The hull is sold as a rock.

The motor is a 468 ci , 8.9:1 pistons , 177 blower with inter cooler , 6 psi boost , Custom cam by Jason Saris @ Performance Marine LG

The drive is a Imco 2" shorty with Max Machine Works parts in the upper.

I am using a Stern Jack that I modified my self so that I can have my external steering mounted to the Stern Jack. When I am at full trim my X dimension is 3 1/2 " :D . Stock is 7 1/2" :(

I am using 280 K planes and line to the Rt side of the drive is the inter cooler pick up .

The interior Was designed by my self with some help from my neighbor.

The front seats are from Twin Marine. The seat pedestals, center console, back seat and interior panels were made by me. The back seat is bolted to the boat in a way that it is acting like a bulk head. the front seats and console are bolted together as one and are held down by over 40 screws to the reinforced floor. Trust me the seats don't move .

The dash / helm were all through bolted and reinforced along with what ever I could put extra bolts & screws into.

What is not installed yet is the port side grab handle with the trim controls mounted in them, That is being painted and should be mounted this week.
