i just bought the michelob light raceboat that was raced by joey ipalito and owned by bernie little. is going back to the original paint and lettering. the boat was very original when i got it only a few gauges were changed the rest is original. i talked to richie powers a week ago about the boat. richie originally rigged the boat when it was new. the hull and deck weighed in at 2200 lbs, its a kevlar 49 and vinylester built boat. im putting a pair of 598ci 1100 hp 1050ft lbs tq bbc in it as soon as the paint work is completed. i'll post some pics of the progess as it starts to come together. how many larry smith 38's were built? lets see yous LS boats. rm

it's no fun yet. i hope to be finish with the prep work in a few more days, then the paint work starts. i just had my engines re dynoed they made 1080 hp, im going to bigger carbs so should be a lil over 1100 hp when they go in the boat
i wll have about 35% more hp than when they raced it
should be a monster!
