If the boat you are thinking of in NJ is in Edison, it is'nt a show boat. Thats the one I almost bought until the owner decided not to sell at the last minute. It is a factory edition that came from the west coast. I think in Washington state if I remember correctly, about 5 years ago when he purchased it. Here is a pic of it.....looks great in the pics, but needed tons of work. Lots of little things which really added up. The surveyor figured $10,000 give or take with me doing the work.

We are in MD and the 86 boat we have has been here the whole time. It was purchased in Miami in 7/86. It was last used in 93 when my dad lost interest in it. Luckily he's the kind of guy who can't get rid of anything, and recently decided to bring it back into action.

KV stands for Kaama Vice. Straight from the mouth of Gus Anastasia to my ears. 1987 when I ordered mine. It applied to all 38 flat decks of the time span and not just to Kevlar boats or Miami Vice paint jobs.

Seeing Double, where in MD are you located. Have you ever used the boat in the bay? I'm up and down the bay all the time and the only MV type Scarab (well besides mine) that I see is Ray Curtis's with Curtis Propellers on the side.
I was looking into buying that boat but I felt it need too much cosmetic and some mechanical work done to it.
