scarab insanity.... You can bend carbon fiber to a point.. but not that much bend unless you lay it up and clamp it in place while it is curing.
Another method is use balsa wood (1/8" seems to work well to start) and steam bend it, then to mock your dash and use that template for your carbon fiber to adhere to. Just make sure you vacuum bag it, it will produce a piece with greater strength.

I have the dash panel for the guages made out of stainless , its set up for auto meter 2 5/8" gauges , 4" monster tachs and a 5" speedo. I'll try to get some pics next time I'm at the old mans if anyone wants it. I also have the veny and side windows sitting outside. If you really want the old school look I 'e got the bow rail and transom rails, one piece stainless.

panels..

I drew the panels for my scarab on the computer, then had it cut with a waterjet from a CA company, then sent it to Livorsi for powdercoating and laser engraving. Works and looks pretty good. Tried the carbon over aluplates but ended up with edges that didn't look to good. Next time around I will have the waterjet guys doing the labeling after it has been powdercoated, then fill the letters with a clear added with some white and mount lights behind it. Here is what it looks like:
