Default anyone know the story of this 96' 38ft scarab ??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1996-...QQcmdZViewItem

the motors are not turning he says !! both... batteries are out...dash was cut out...

seems like they were not stealing some parts..i say it was done intentionally to complicate the claim with the insurance company in order to throw they eye off the ball !

either the motors were seized and they made it look like a theft and got away with it or maybe it is a boat that was sunk ?? or engine bay flooded with rain...water filled the motors and seized the blocks ??

anyone know the boat or the story ?

Looks like it was a nice Scarab at one time. I always like those graphics. It would take considerable work and dollars to bring it back to life.

Dash was not cut out. Thats the way wellcraft does it. Mine is the same. Controls missing! Steering wheel is no biggie. Even with the siezed motors , it is a lot of boat. What did he say aboout the drives / transoms , steering? Who's scared of a little work?

I remember a 96 I was looking at with those graphics that got totalled in a Florida hurricane a couple years back.

this must be the boat...i figured it got full of water in the engine bay and flooded the motors. this is why they are seized...
