Info on a Scarab3
I own a 1988 Scarab 3 (Ninja) 34ft twin screw. Anyone heard of this boat ? I posted this Q months ago and got only 1 reply. Called Wellcraft for info, they said their computers wont go that far back. Looks like the Larry Smith (Flat top) only I have a glass windshield. It also has the narrow walkway down the sides of the cockpit. I know there was very few made. Does anyone have info to help?

That tells you guys how much I know about the boat. I assumed it was a scarab 3 cause thats what the guy at wellcraft told me. I'd just like to know about it for piece of mind. I've spent a ton of money bringing her back to life! Thanks again!!!

I have an original brochure for Wellcraft from 1986. It has the Nova models, Scarabs 1, 2, and 3, the KV, the 400, the Excalibur, and the Meteor. It also has a Panther model.
I seem to recall a Ninja model a couple of years later. I'm pretty sure it was based on the Panther. The Scarab line all had glass windshields (except the KV), but the Panther had a fiberglass fairing with no windshield and a narrow 6 to 8 inch gunnel on the sides. It was about 30' long. I'm pretty sure the Ninja was based on that model. Can you post some pics? |

Not a very good pic. I had spent a month sanding, hands were tired. I'll see if I can get better pics this weekend. Motors are going back in !!!

I still think it's a longer varient of the Panther. I am attaching a pic of the Panther in the 1986 Brochure. Look at the deck carefully and let us know what you think. This is my 1st attempt to add a pic....

My feeble mind has me recalling a 34 Ninja (I/O) and Raider (twin O/B). I'm not sue what hulls were modeled off of, but the topsides had flat decks. The didn't seem to make a lot of them because I've only seen a few for sale.
