I bought a 96 26 ft that came with a stock 502 with a procharger the boat ran great until it threw a rod through the side of the block. After talking to the mechanic I was told that on these motors they have a weak valve train and that one of my valves broke and fell through the piston due to the added heat of a super charger and that you should never put one on a stock motor it will run for a short while but it will definetly be an expensive time bomb. If you do put the super charger I would highly recommend adding stainless valves and stronger pistons I have a procharger with an intercooler and am very happy with it. The other very important thing is to get your fuel system correct if not you will lean out the engine and definetly blow it

very satisfied with the work he did for me
