has anyone ran twin 650hp in 33 avs .Trying to figure out what combo to use.

hey, my father and I put a pair of 516 CID BBC's in our old one with whipples and imco SC drives and extenstion boxes and we ran 118MPH but that is really close to as fast as your going to want to go in the boat ....she starts to get alittle hairy!!

My uncle has a 98 33 avs with 525sc with super chillers some head work and solid roller cams about 650 hp runs a solid 95. He tried the imco 2 inch lowers but did not work with out the boxes.I have it for sell for him on yacht world or go on www.dnrboatworld.com and click on boats for sell it is clean

not the merc stuff but volvo did some with the 600's and volvo drives were running in the mid 90's that I was in. My (sold) 1999 33 avs with stock 502 stock setup was around mid low 70's.

was it the dual prop volvo and they are that strong

I believe that the volvo i ran in was dual, ran good believe the motors were the 600dpx?

I was in a few 38 avs,one had 500hp's and one had the 500hp volvo's with the dpx drive. The volvo boat was faster but who's going to buy a volvo over a merc in the performance market.
