So what do you guys think top dollar for this boat is? The guy will take 25k for it but I think she need 5k of work to bring it up to date. I was thinking 20k for it or should I just pass and buy something else ( I have 20k cash, so buy a 40k boat and get loan?) Frank

Hallo there Frank, it seems like You passed on Mike Uvas Scarab. I've got the first of Jeff Brown's "Pure Insanity" P-38 boats. It's a 1976. He ordered the 2nd "Pure Insanity" P-38 in 1979 and that's the boat in the photo in this thread. That 2nd one is a Kevlar 49 boat. I've seen Mike's boat and he spent a lot of money on it. The only issue is that the boat didn't get prepped properly before they gelcoat baked it, so it doesn't cosmetically look as good as it could have. If You have more questions about these early boats I've got plenty of info. on more sisterboats. Feel free to contact me if You're still interested.

Regards,

Lars.
