hey guys, need some help,,,, mine is not a P29, just a Scarab29 with twin "383,s" ,,,,,runs 73GPS 23 props ,,,,, I want to run faster,,,, been told by some the hull design want let it ,,,, had a couple say the prop centerline makes a big difference ,,, curious of speeds you guys are running verses the depth of prop centerline and possibly HP/TQ output ,,,,,,,

Nice setup. You should have been able to run high to low 90's with that boat. Use the K-Planes. I had mine running 80 with stock motors and some minor changes. Replacing the old cast exhaust manifolds with Revolution Marine's gave me the most performance by letting the small blocks breath more and taking weight off of the transom. I gained 2 mph just from that change. The P-29 loves big water and cuts through 3-4 feet with ease due to the narrow beam. I attached a pic of my old #5 hull in the Oshkosh Thunder Poker Run

So far this winter pulled the engines cleaned up the bilge fix some leaks new gimbal bearing's. Blackhawks are getting new paint and decals. Basically fixing a bunch a little stuff to put it back in top mechanical condition.

It would be cool to hear how everyone else's projects are coming along...

Who is replicating the decals on the drives? I'd be interested in a couple sets. I'm sure most P29 owners would buy in on an order for future restorations.

I actually just got back an hour ago from the sign shop. He's been a little slow getting started on them. I lit a fire today I'm going back to pick up the Black Hawk drive in an hour. He is taking pictures of the original stickers and he will have them in his computer to make as many as we want. If they turn out like I want I will post his information and share it with everyone.

did anyone ever pick up that project p29 in PA? I was going to get it until i picked up my carbon boat. tried texting the guy a few times after that and never got a response..

The place I'm getting the stickers done was highly recommended:rolleyes: I think they've had them for like 10 months now I didn't call all summer but I called this week. Same old song and dance that they're going to get right on it and finish it up. I will walk in the door next week kicking and screaming see what happens. May just grab my **** and start over somewhere else. Can't push a rope, sorry guys.

Hey i'm about to go look at #21 for sale in West Chester PA, 2 miles from my work, LOL. He's second owner and has 112 hrs on the new 383 motors. He bought it from a guy in New Town Square PA with cracked blocks

Anything particular i should look for on this boat?
