Default Replacement seats.

Hi all,

I was wondering if I could order replacement seats for my Scarab? Is there a company out there that does this or do I need to get them re-upholstered individually? TIA.

Have never heard who made the wellcraft ones. I did my own after leaving them at a shop for 18 weeks and having them do nothing. Came out nice. I think you'll have to find a local guy. I have never called PPI though I wanted to when I was in sarasota. Nice work there.

Hi All,

I appreciate all the info. and the willingness to lend a hand. As with my experience with this forum everyone wants to help. Sometimes I ask impossible and sometimes stupid questions. It is my first boat and I do have many questions as would any "rookie" would have. Anyway I have my rear seats out and the wood is just shot, nothing to recover from the rotten wood. I was wondering if someone somewhere might have a drawing or measurements for a "98" 29.5 Scarab rear seats? So I could rebuild them from scratch, or at least know where I could find a "build sheet" to go from? I can try to use the old wood as templates, but I don't know theres a lot of missing and rotten wood. Anyway, any info. is greatly appreciated and CONGRATS!!! to Big Brown today...not like he's goin to read this...LOL.

If I can find the pics of my rear seat rebuild they might help you out. I posted one on the other site that I found. I will look tonight when I get home. I think I might have lost them though.

I have pics somewhere but no templates or measurements. I made mine from the old rotted one. When I thought I was done , I test fitted it and found it was 1/2 " too big!!! Took one end off and cut it down , worked perfect!!!!! I also epoxy coated all the boards inside and out , used marine ply, and don't think it will ever rot like the junk wellcraft made.
