You didn't read or didnt understand what I meant. So I will go slower the Scarab boat is to boats like the Honda Motorcycle is to motorcycles, good at everything but not the best at any. Hope that helps.

No it's been like 10 years now, I like Scarabs and if was looking for a boat in the size and price they are in I would look at them again, Wellcraft is the only boat that I have had 2 of. I would never buy another boat with Blackhawks again. I just wish they had the 2 inch shorty's for Bravos when I had my P29, I would have put them on, if you just put the bravos on the X dim is way too low and it doesnt work well. Some ext boxes and 2 inch shortys would be the way to go and now with the 5 and 6 blade props I bet you could hit 80 with stock motors since bravos wouldn't take as much HP to run. I didnt want to have to raise the motors and fill and recut the holes, because then going back to stock would be too hard. I look at and ride in a lot of boats and am not a brand whore I buy what I feel is the best for the money and since I do all my own work I get to see how the boats a put together and how well they stay together. Dont get me wrong on my rating I havnt seen a 10 yet in my book and when they built Scarabs they were in the top 6 or 7 boats out there in my book just not the best. I would hope if you looked at a 38 Nortech, 37 Outerlimits, 38 Top Gun and a 38 Scarab you could tell witch ones were put together better had better fit and finish.

More 85 scarabs around than 85 baja's.......meaning the build quality on the scarabs were good enough to still be around today. Try not to think too hard.

i love my 33AVS, honestly the shootout weekend was the only time i really wished i had a bigger boat, but it would be a 38 avs!

i get complaiments all the time about how the 33 handles the water, and how fast it is with just 502's compared to other boats new and old the same size and power.

i really don't want any other boat!
