Default Exhaust Diverters

Has anybody had any expierance using exhaust diverters. I am need I to lower my noise level when I am in the marina. All the systems I see run the exhaust thru a y pipe then thru the prop. Does anybody know of system that doen't use a y pipe but rather dumps the exhaust thru the bottom or side of the hull below the water line when you turn the diverts on.

Thank you,
Cliff

I know there are some that will attach off the back of your transom exhaust and point straight down. I know some of the big boys on here have them and you only here them when your on plane and their under water when your idling. Some kind of turn down pipe that clamps on. Good lukc.

There is no reason why you couldn't just leave out the y-pipe and plumb the exhaust out anywhere you want.

Hardin Marine makes a good switchable muffler. I run them on my 502 MPI. No problems.
