I bought the 96 38 scarab was a great deal at 30k I was looking at a 93 scarab thunder at eliminator boats and the owner went up on our agreed price of 40 to 47 I told him to pound sand when I found this one it is alot cleaner and 3 years newer. The people at national liquidators were very professional. They where a lot of help also, made it nice that the boat was only 40 miles from my home . I have been looking at trailers if any one knows of a good deal in southern ca. Have been talking with the guy who owns the myco in the classified still wants a lot for a mid 90 trailer . The new scarab will make a nice up grade form my 90 30 scarab panther and my old larry smith, that one is for sale cheep on ebay. only down side is owner has not done any thing sense i sold it to him 4 years ago looking at the pics

What size thunder was the '93? I sold my 1993 31' scarab (Fittipaldi) 2 years ago for $32.5. Cosmetically it was a 5 structurally it was a 7 mechanically it was a 9.5. Kind of miss the reliability. Mike

It is a 38 .The owner of the boat put it on craigs list so he not going to half to pay elininator there 10 % so he may take less check in the la not the inland enpire just serch scarab in craigs list the boat is a 8.5 cos and mech it has the older 502 mags with mefi 1 and regular v belts not serp. Welcome the to the LONG DECK 38 club! Post some pics! |
Hi guys. I've been looking at a boat listed as a 93 Scarab 31' Fittipaldi. Nice boat, but I can't find any references to a 31' Fittipaldi - the references that I can find are for a 91 34' model. Can anyone shed any light? And what are these going for at the moment anyhow? Thanks!
|
I have a real nice 34' Scarab III w/fresh 600hp motors ,all fresh TRS/Borg Warner drive train, moving up priced for a quick sale 21k..
|
Scarab3DMC - That's a very long haul to get it here, but can you send me some pics - if the $ work out and the Fittipaldi falls through I may be interested. Send to [email protected].

cbm can you tell me how to check that feed in the gimbal. I'm having a heating water pressure issue that I can't figure out. Does not over heat but will reach 170 at 4800. I already checked thermostat and housing, water pump, and back flushed system.

Michael: This is a black hull with a red stripe - is that the one? Can you give me some history on it? Is there actually such a thing as a 93 Fittipaldi 31'? Wellcraft only lists a 91 34' as a "Fittipaldi" model. I'm a bit confused!

There is acually another identical boat in Minnisota. It is acually black on the bottom and the sides are acually charcoal grey. The boat was originally sold from Millers Landing in Newport Beach. The original owner died on the boat off the coast in Laguna beach and it almost sunk at that time. The second owner, a real character ,Corky, bought it in 1997 and continued it's trashing. I bought it in 2001 for $42k and invested another $25k over the next 3 years. In 2003 I bought a pair of 50 hour motors from Dave Anderson a member her on OSO and the boat ran pretty much trouble free for the next 4 years. I sold it 2 years ago because I always wanted a 38' and cosmetically it wasn't as clean as I like. I sold it to a couple in Irvine (down the road from where my 38' came from) and he sold it a year later (his wife sadly got sick and passed away just recently). Supposedly it's last owner lived(lives?) in Fallbrook.
